Astrodynamics Web Tools

Stereographic Projections web tool image Javascript tools that help illustrate how the 4D quaternion constraint hypersurface can be projected onto a 3D hyperplane to yield minimial three-parameter attitude coordinates sets such as the classical Rodrigues parameters (CRPs), the modified Rodrigues parameter (MRPs), etc.

Classical Rodrigues Parameters: CRP
Modified Rodrigues Parameters: MRP
Symmetric Stereographic Orientation Parameters: SSOP
Asymmmetric Stereographic Orientation Parameters: ASSOP
3D Orbit and Ground Track Illustration web tool image This demo uses the new WebGL web standard to display a 3D view of an orbit, simultaneously with a 2D view of the resulting groundtrack. The user can adjust the classical orbit elements and view the results live. To view this web page, a WebGL enabled browser such as Chrome 9+, Safari 5.1+, or Firefox 4+ are required.
